"Blended" is another Adam Sandler comedy (ugh). BUT, it isn't as bad as other previous Adam Sandler movies like "Jack & Jill" and "Grown Ups 2". It still sucks though.
After a bad blind date, a man (Adam Sandler) and a woman (Drew Barrymore) find themselves stuck together
at a resort for families, where their attraction grows as their
respective kids benefit from the burgeoning relationship.
As we expect from an Adam Sandler movie, the perfomances are subpar. Adam Sandler is alright, but he does try his best. Drew Barrymore is OK. As for the supporting cast, Terry Crews is fantastic. He might be the best part of the entire movie. He might be a lock for an oscar nomination. And one of the characters' named ESPN!!!!!! COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The first 25 minutes are actually really funny. But once they get to Africa, it becomes painful to watch. The performances are like Denny in "The Room". Complaining, bitching and not acting very well. The humor sucks including the two rhinoceros doing what the men and women do in "Nymphomaniac volume 1&2" and the recurring jokes about a character surnamed "The Masturbator" (yes, I'm not pulling anybody's leg)
The drama part of it (yes it has drama) is a actually really good. The part where you see that Adam Sandler's wife died of cancer is actually really touching and the ending is really emotional.
Overall, Blended isn't as bad as Adam Sandler's previous efforts, but when it's the africa part, it will remind you a lot of Jack & Jill and Grown Ups 2.
Movieaficionado1 is giving Blended a D+
