Brick Mansions (PG-13) D+

"Brick Mansions" is the last film that Paul Walker completed before his tragic death on November 30th 2013 when he died ironically and tragically, in a car crash. We never expected Paul Walker to finish his life like this and this posthumous film, isn't going to be remembered in Paul Walker's career.

An undercover Detroit cop (Paul Walker) navigates a dangerous neighborhood that's surrounded by a containment wall with the help of an ex-con (David Belle) in order to bring down a crime lord (RZA) and his plot to devastate the entire city.

In his last completed performance, Paul Walker is believable. He is the best performance in the movie, which isn't saying much because all of the other performances are laughable. David Belle is fine as Lino, an ex-con who has some really cool moves when he performs his parkour tricks during the action scenes. He's a badass.

Let's get this straight, RZA SUCKS! He is one of the worst actors EVER! He should not even perform at this point. I know Cinema Sickness does not like RZA when he rants about him in his weekly watched on GI Joe Retaliation and The Man With The Iron Fists review. As for the supporting cast, Catalina Denis as Lola, Robert Maillet as Yeti, Carlo Rota as George The Greek, Kwasi Songui as Big Cecil, Ayisha Isaa as Rayzah and Richard Zeman as Reno ALL SUCK! They should all win worst supporting acting. I believe this is the worst we will see all this year.

This being said, the action scenes are AWESOME, it has really fun, fast and exciting action. The parkour scenes with David Belle were really good. But my favorite action scene has to be the climax. We get to see not only David Belle kicking ass, but Paul Walker doing parkour as well. As an action fan, I was really happy. BUT, RZA shooting random people for the "oooooh I'm evil" look doesn't serve any purpose in the movie and the special effects are horrendous. Thank god there is only one explosion that reminds me of Sharknado 1&2.

Overall, "Brick Mansions" could've been a good movie, but with the really bad acting, you don't believe in any of the characters.

MovieAficionado1 gives Brick Mansions a D+
