Doogal (2006) Film Review

This movie is horrible. Itr is one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life. This film was released by The Wienstien Company, which earlier in the year, released a film called Hoodwinked! Which is one of my favorite movies. This is an awful, terrible movie. There was no point of making this film. It's an awful american verison of a british film(The Magic Roundabout), that I'm pretty sure is better than this.
 

Doogal(Daniel Tay) is a dog who likes candy. His owner Florence, takes him to a fair where candy will be featured. Doogal sneaks off and makes the candy cart run amok. The cart crashes into a merry-go-round, and releases an evil wizard(Jon Stewart) named Zeebad, who wants to ice over the entire world. His owner has been trapped in the Merry-go-round and has to stop Zeebad with the help of Dylan(Jimmy Fallon), Ermintrude(Whoopi Goldberg), Brian(William H Macy) and A Train(Chevy Chase).

 

 

The animation is horrible. It makes movies like Mars Needs Moms look like an Academy Award winner. It's so choppy and really blocky in movement. The mouths don't even match the dubbed voices. The voice acting is really bad. The actors sound like they don't care. Plus the dialouge is horrendous.
 

Children deserve better than this. Hoodwinked!, Lonney Tunes Back In Action, these are much better movies. Even Hoodwinked Too is good, how does that happen? I thought Kevin Smith providing a voice would be good. But no he's wasted. Just to give you a taste of the high quality writing in this film, there is a flatulating Moose and Train.
