Is Alice: Through The Looking Glass worth seeing in IMAX 3D?

Welcome one, welcome all to a series that I started with Terminator: Genisys but never actually did other articles! Well now, I'm bringing it back! The series is called Is It Worth Seeing in IMAX? and the movie is called Alice Through The Looking Glass. I have seen X-Men: Apocalypse in 3D (worth the extra $$$) but since it isn't released in IMAX, we'll be looking at the one movie that everyone was anticipating for!

IS IT ANY GOOD? Straight and to the point: NO! This movie has probably the laziest writing I have seen in a long while! We get to see The Red Queen's origins and why she wants to cut off everyone's head! It's so uninspired and STUPID! The plot of the movie is STUPID! IT'S STUPID!

PICTURE QUALITY: When you go to an IMAX experience, you expect it to have sharp picture quality and lifelike colors. This is where the movie shines. The movie is VISUALLY STUNNING! Wonderland is actually WONDERFUL (Compared to the 2010 original where everything looked dark, gloomy and depressing). The colors are vivid and bright and everywhere you go, it's an ADVENTURE! From Time's Castle to the Chronosphere river, everything looks crystal clear!

SOUND QUALITY: Once again, everything technical about this movie is a marvel! The sound design is amazing! It is especially enhanced during the action scenes! It's probably one of IMAX's best sound mixes this year. It's loud when it needs to be and quiet where it needs to be. There are a few surprising sound moments as well that are enhanced by IMAX's mix.

3D: Does BEST 3D MOVIE OF THE YEAR sound familiar? I don't think they'll be any other movie this year that SHOULD BE SEEN IN 3D! AND IN IMAX 3D! WOW! The 3D is SUPER IMMERSIVE! Coupled with the amazing cinematography, you are plunged into wonderland from the very first shot to the last. My favorite 3D scene is probably the Chronosphere scene because it uses 3D brilliantly. I was immersed from the very beginning (even though the movie sucked).

OVERALL: Keep in mind that Alice Through The Looking Glass is a HORRIBLE movie! But if you want to see it, SEE IT IN IMAX 3D! YOUR KIDS WILL LOVE IT! AND YOU WILL LOVE IT TOO! You might not like the movie, but one thing you're gonna say will probably be «I don't think I'm going to be able to NOT see a movie in IMAX!» This shows IMAX's true potential at a really immersive cinema experience.

I will also be starting Is It Worth Seeing in 3D? for movies that DO NOT get released in IMAX to make sure that you are spending your money's worth!
