DJ: "I'm A Stuntman!"
Daffy: "You? A Stuntman? Please!"
DJ "I am! Did you see those "Mummy" movies? I'm in them more than Brendan Fraser is!"

I love, love, love Looney Tunes Back In Action. There seems to be a hidden side of me to enjoy films that massively failed at the box office. I remember watching this film religiously when I was a small child and still loving it to this day. A lot of people don't respond well to this film and for the life of me, I haven't figured out why. Maybe it's because you'll watch putrid garbage like Pitch Perfect 40 times before enjoying something resembling quality.

DJ Drake(Brendan Fraser) is a low-payed stuntman, still living in the shadow of his famous father Damien Drake(Timothy Dalton). When he is tasked with escorting animated miscreant Daffy Duck out of the studio lot, it results in a wild goose chase(no pun intended). This results in the Warner Brothers water tower to crash and ends up getting DJ fired. When his father is kidnapped and requests him to find a diamond called the Blue Monkey, he recruits(read: unwillingly stumbles upon) the help of Daffy, Bugs Bunny and executive Kate(Jenna Elfman) to help him find the Blue Monkey and stop the evil Chairman(Steve Martin).

I've said this to many people, I think that Brendan Fraser is one of the most misunderstood actors of all time. He does have really good movies like Airheads, The Mummy films, Bedazzled and this. Now I can't worship everything the guy does and I will say that some of his newer stuff isn't up to par. Gimme Shelter had great performances including him, but was overly sappy and not truly getting it's message across properly, and Furry Vengeance was...pretty awful. But I do like Pawn Shop Chronicles! But his performance as DJ is not only great, it's really funny, his mannerisms reminding of a live action Looney Tune. Funny enough, his character is also a bit of a misunderstood personality.

Jenna Elfman is a great actress, but I've only seen her in one other film; 2000's Keeping The Faith, Staring and directed by Edward Norton, my personal favorite actor of all time. Her performance as Kate rings true to people who are overworked, and therefore, act uptight in front of everybody. She also has some great moments thrown in the mix and does not the kindly to the unorthodox shenanigans going on around her.

The stars of the show are the Looney Tunes and they pull of the classic slapstick humor they always do, so there's not really much new to talk about. The supporting players, including the maniacal Steve Martin, the lovely Heather Locklear and fun cameos from Joan Cusack and Jeff Gordon are fun to watch and soak in for their limited time onscreen. The cameos not the supporting actors.

The late, great Roger Ebert once said, "No good movie is too long and no bad movie is too short." Looney Tunes Back In Actions zips around at a fast pace and I had a blast watching it. Looney Tunes Back In Action won't become the next cult classic like The Big Lebowski, The Room or Showgirls(although that would be interesting), but it is a classic in my mind. I will love this film until my dying day.
