Neill Blomkamp, director of District 9 returns to direct the new epic Sci-fi action film: ELYSIUM starring Matt Damon and Jodie Foster. This movie is one of the most epic action films of the year.
This movie is just goddamn AWESOME!!!!!! I mean from the first scene it just hits you and you're in, you're totally in. It is a film that is rough to watch because you feel the pain that Matt Damon is suffering after he got exposed to bad radiation. You feel the pain of everybody. But this movie can be described in two words: SHARLTO COPLEY!!!!
He knocks it out of the part as Kruger. Every scene that he's in brings so much intensity because the film IS intense.
This is an action movie. There is a good amount of strong bloody violence (and I mean disgusting bloody. Bodies exploding, heads falling off, the whole shindig.) But the action is just so goddam epic. Every single action scene. I feel that Jodie Foster died too early in the movie. She didn't have enough screen time so you couldn't get to know the character. Matt Damon was fine. And the ending made me tear up a bit because it's so beautiful.
Look, that Jodie Foster character not being in the movie too much doesn't stop me from getting a 5/5 star rating.
