Genre: Action
Director: Brad Peyton
Format that I've seen: blu-ray
MPAA: PG for some adventure action, and brief mild language.
Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures
Distributors: New Line Cinema, Walden Media, Contrafilm
Runtime: 94 minutes
Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson) partners with his mom's husband (Dwayne Johnson) on a mission to find his grandfather (Michael Caine), who is thought to be missing on a mysterious island.
That's the plot. Performance wise, it's OK. I especially like Luis Guzman's performance as an airline pilot. Michael Caine is excellent. Vanessa Hudgens is hot as sh*t. Dwayne Johnson is an exaggerating bitch. Overacting at its finest LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
For an action film, it's not that action-packed. It's more a campy adventure with some comedy and enhanced 3D. There are some beautiful action scenes.
Visually, the movie is stunning. I think that the 3D is the same as journey 1 because a lot of stuff pops out of the screen.
Overall, it's an excellent movie but it could have been some more action scenes.
4/5
