RED 2 review

RED was an entertaining, fun and adrenaline fueled action packed adventure. But RED 2 is far more better than it's predecessor. Director Dean Parisot takes Robert Schwentke's place because Schwentke did RIPD of course. Oh and RIP Nelson Mandela. He will be missed.

Anyways, RED 2 opens at a Costco. Here's the story that I have with this Costco. This Costco is located in Candiac, Québec which is a 10 minute drive from my home. So when RED 2 was shot there, we went to Costco to see if Bruce Willis should show up outside and YES HE DID!!!!!!!!!

Ok, let's get back to the film. Is RED 2 good? Yeah It's FUN. The action is more epic and BADASS than the first one (Ex: Helen Mirren and Byung Hun-Lee in a car so when Mirren points 2 guns and then the car does a flip in the air. YEEEEEAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there a standout performance? YES and it's Anthony Hopkins as Edward Bailey. I don't want to give anything away because this is a really particular character to explain but he really reminds me of Hannibal Lecter (For real).

On the negative side, this movie has to many plot turns and twists that will confuse the audience (and me). Parisot doesn't seem to get this right. It gets too confusing.

Overall, comedy and action for RED blends perfectly for this movie but Dean Parisot doesn't know what he's doing with plot twists

4/5
